Kirk is a Licensed General Contractor with 45 years in construction. Twila is a designer with 30 years specializing in Kitchens & Baths. Together, they have spent 30 years remodeling homes for thousands of homeowners across America.
But their true dream was always something bigger. For 30 years, they searched for a historic home with good bones — a place worthy of a full, faithful restoration. After dozens of showings and three decades of searching, they finally found it.
For the past 7 years, Kirk and Twila have been lovingly restoring their 1910 Historic Estate Home — bringing it back to life with the same craftsmanship it was built with over a century ago.
Their passion is simple: save as many historic homes as possible before they are lost forever. With your help, they can.

1990s
The Dream Begins
Kirk and Twila start their careers in construction and design — Kirk as a Licensed General Contractor, Twila as a Kitchen & Bath Designer. Together, they begin remodeling homes for thousands of families.
2000s
30 Years of Searching
While building their remodeling business, Kirk and Twila spend three decades searching for the right historic home — one with good bones, real character, and a story worth saving. Dozens of showings. No perfect match. Yet.
2017
They Found It
After 30 years and countless home tours, Kirk and Twila finally found their home: a 1910 Historic Estate with extraordinary bones and a century of stories waiting to be uncovered.
2018
The Restoration Begins
The painstaking, loving work of restoring the 1910 Estate begins. Every detail is approached with respect for the original craftsmanship — no shortcuts, no compromises.
2024
7 Years In — and a Movement
Seven years into their own restoration, Kirk and Twila launch Historic Home Rescue to share their passion with the world — and to save as many historic homes as possible before they are lost forever.
